Meet The Empress

Our Empress is inspired by Doña Benicia Carillo de Vallejo (1815 – 1891). She was strong and fierce, from a long line of strong women. Her mother was one of the first woman winemakers in Sonoma County. The city of Benicia was named after her. She was the mother of 16 children.
